Accessibility is the Law: No More Excuses!

wheelchair-access-advocatesOne of the first questions asked by our new ADA litigating team was about our ACCESS Advocates.

In my opinion, the community of people with disabilities has learned to live with their disabilities and ADA accessibility to buildings and sites is a little better today than it was back in 1990. It really is all about the experience a person has with a manager or employee. People with disabilities have heard almost everything there is to hear–every excuse, every justification, every diversion.

Take for example, the one we heard a few of weeks ago, at a newer motel where our advocate had stayed several years ago. The hotel had a very nice, large accessible room with a well-equipped roll in shower. After trying to book that same room again upon returning to the area, the gentleman was firmly told that management had taken the large room out of service and are now using the space for storage.

This is why ACCESS Advocates exists!

We are the ones that will take that challenger and prepare the draft complaint to be filed in Federal Court. It is all about using federal Civil Rights Law as it was intended to be used. The ADA is federal Civil Rights Law and we at ACCESS empower people with disabilities via our ACCESS Program, which is designed to get positive results at no cost to people with disabilities.

To the community of people with disabilities, it is all about “teaming” with ACCESS. We are architects that have succeeded in getting buildings and sites ADA compliant for over 20 years! We have the knowledge and ADA experience to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Our motto is getting buildings and sites ADA compliant for you, one building at a time. Are you ready to team with ACCESS to make a difference? Contact us today!
