ASK HANK: How Long Does the ACCESS Program Take?

ACCESS ADA program

QUESTION: How long does the ACCESS Program of getting buildings ADA compliant take?

—————————–

ANSWER: We have been asked this question many, many times over the years.

We’re proud to say that our process has evolved over the years and this past week has been a milestone for ACCESS. We received our 6th complaint just five days ago and, in this short five-day time period, we completed all required paperwork, finished the ancillary research and now, at the end of 5 days, the draft complaint was turned over to the ADA litigating attorney!

With that I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate our staff here at ACCESS because the first phase of our work is done and it was completed in only five days!

The case is now out of our hands and in the hands of the ADA litigating attorney. They, too, over time, will come up to speed and improve their handling times to the benefit of the ACCESS program as a whole. Our goal is to have a settlement agreement in 90 days from start to finish. I want you to know that this is not the federal government at work but private industry.

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for supporting our program and partnering with ACCESS to get buildings ADA compliant, one building at a time.

So, how long does it take? Five days and the ball is rolling down hill to a very successful ending! Care to join us?
