B.J. Davis has been singing and entertaining most of his life. His unique blend of original songs (both serious and comedic), timeless classics, parody songs, and his own special brand of comedy examine life, music, and humor in a way that has rarely, if ever, been explored.
He released a country album (“Here With Me”) which contained all original material and received regional radio airplay. Davis has received national radio airplay, with numerous parody and original comedic songs. His CD “Out of the Box” contains many of these songs. His most current CD, “Crooked Joints…Twisted Mind” contains many of his classic hits as well as 6 never released B.J. originals. B.J. is working on a new CD right now that will be released in 2013.
B.J. has always believed strongly in sharing his talents for the greater good and has performed his music and comedy extensively, in a variety of venues, to raise money and/or goods for all types of charities and non-profit organizations!
In 2004, B.J. formed The B.J. Davis Foundation; a Missouri 501 (c) 3 Non-profit Corporation. “The B.J. Davis Foundation is the realization of a dream,” says Davis. “I am truly blessed to be able to use the gifts of music and comedy to hopefully enhance the lives of people I encounter. There are very real needs across this great country of ours. So many worthy causes and individuals that for various reasons, just don’t receive the help they need and deserve. The B.J. Davis Foundation was established to hopefully fulfill some of those needs. Simply put, The B.J. Davis Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps those organizations and individuals who have fallen through the cracks!”
B.J. lives with Rheumatoid Arthritis and is a wheelchair user with an interesting way of approaching life and the disease. He believes that having a disability is what you make of it and that ALL of us are dealt challenges in life and how we respond to those challenges is what makes us who we are!
According to B.J., he wants folks to look at him as a guy who is playing the cards he was dealt to the fullest extent. B.J. says, “CROOKED JOINTS…TWISTED MIND! The more crooked my joints have gotten, the more twisted my mind has become!”
