Bill Miller

access advocate, william millerBill Miller is a C1-2 quadriplegic, but he had a pretty normal, able-bodied, first twenty years of his life, growing up in Central Florida.  Bill was studying mathematics at the University of Florida and was about to begin his senior year when he incurred a spinal cord injury that paralyzed him from the neck down — an injury similar to the one incurred by the late Christopher Reeve.

Since his injury in 1997, Bill has been active as an advocate, a former newspaper columnist, a motivational / inspirational speaker, and an entrepreneur.  Would you believe that he holds several legitimate world records in wheelchair bowling?  Yep.

Bill went back to school via the University of Florida’s Online Business Program, and graduated with honors on August 9th, 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Entrepreneurship via Western Carolina University’s online program and is scheduled to graduate in May, 2013.
